Abstract

473,164. Distributing-valves. SERVOFREIN DEWANDRE SOC. ANON. Sept. 25, 1936, Nos. 26114 and 26115. Convention dates, Sept. 26, 1935 and March 20, 1936. [Class 135] A compressed-air distributer valve comprises a valve member 10 controlling the supply of compressed air from a conduit 7 to a delivery connection 8. An exhaust valve in the form of a tubular actuating member 18 provides communication from the delivery 8 to atmosphere, but on actuation to open the compressedair valve 10 seats onto a resilient sealing washer 14 of the valve 10 to close the exhaust passage. The tubular member 18 is actuated by a lever 26 and is provided with a flange 19 which engages a resilient packing 21 at the extremity of its movement to open the compressed-air valve 10. Cam locking-means may be provided for maintaining the valve 10 in its open position. A number of such valve units can conveniently be coupled together by a common hollow assembling bolt forming the supply duct for the compressed air. The distributer valve may also be formed in two relatively rotatable parts for use in connection with apparatus which is intended to be capable of angular displacement relative to the axis of the distributer, thus dispensing with the need for flexible connecting-tubing.
