Abstract

472,180. Gravity-separation apparatus. FARRER, W. G., and DAVIS, C. April 1, 1936, No. 9572. [Class 111] Liquid is supplied to a settling- tank through an annular channel 2, the inner wall of which forms a weir, and is discharged through a central outlet 5. The settled sludge is pushed into hoppers 6 adjacent the wall of the tank by scrapers 7 on arms 8 depending from shafts 9. The shafts 9 are attached to shafts 10 supported by wheels or rollers 11, driven -by an electric motor 12.
