Abstract
471,102. Colour kinematography. LUSCHNATH, E., GRUNE, K., KANTUREK, 0., and GLUCK, V. Nov. 27, 1935, No. 32921. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii)] A light-dividing system for colour kinematography consists of two right-angled reflecting prisms b, b<1>, Fig. 1, placed behind the objective a with their entrance faces d, d<1> at right-angles to the axis of the objective and each covering nearly half the field. The exit surfaces f, f<1> face inwards and are parallel to each other and spaced apart to receive a film or films h between them. The film may be guided by a gate or by the prisms themselves. To assist in focusing the images two further prisms c, c<1>, Fig. 2, are provided, these being similar to the prisms b, b<1> but having their exit surfaces k, k<1 >facing outwards so as to form images on screens l, l<1>, the light paths through the prisms c, c<1> to the screens being equal to those through the prisms b, bl to the film. The images on the screens are observed in mirrors m, m<1>. The prisms b, b<1>, c, cl and the screens and mirrors are rigidly mounted on a common support which may be slidable so as to bring either the prisms b, bl or the prisms c, c<1> into position behind the objective.
