Abstract

469,722. Endless - track vehicles. MOGLIA, E. Feb. 11, 1937, No. 4102. [Class 79 (i)] A resilient roller for engaging the endless track of a vehicle, is of the kind in which a rubber band 4 is inter posed between the hul rim 2 and an outer metal tyre 6, and com prises a hub 1 with lat eral cheeks 10 over lapping the rubber and extending nearly to the periphery of the tyre 6, play being provided between the cheeks and the tyre so that the latter can move vertic ally between the cheeks as guides, the outer faces of the cheeks serving also as lateral guides for upstanding members 8 on the links 7 of the endless track. The rim 2 may be integral with the hub, the cheeks 10 being bolted thereto as shown. The tyre 6, rubber 4 and a false rim 3 form a readily detachable and replaceable unit.
