469,582. Motor vehicles. STEYRDAIMLER-PUCH AKT.-GES. Oct. 30, 1936, No. 29517. Convention date, Nov. 6, 1935. [Class 79 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVII] An engine, with opposed cylinders 3, arranged on a motor vehicle transverse to the direction of motion, has its cylinder cooling - water radiator 1 mounted directly on the cylinders ; the radiator does not project beyond the engine but preferably the whole width of engine is used for cooling. Greater passenger space, or a shorter vehicle, is thus produced. The radiator is fixed to the cylinders by the flanges 4 of the up-flow and down-flow conduits for the water, induction pipes 7, from a carburetter 8, passing through these flanges to heat the mixture.
