Abstract
468,536. Kinematograph picture films. STOCK, F. J. J. June 22, 1936, No. 17326. Convention date, March 23. [Class 98 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXIII and XVII] A device for pasting together the ends of films with liquids of low boiling point, such as ether or acetone comprises a container 20 with a fine or adjustable reservoir brush 1 and a film gauge 25 which can be slid on to diverging dovetails 24 on the container. Distance pins 27 are arranged to take the ends of different sized films. The film ends are first wetted with solvent or cement by the brush 1, and then put on the gauge plate 25 engaging pins 27. After a few seconds the film ends are fixedly joined and can be removed.
