[Class 98 (ii)] [Also in Group XV] The fat-soluble colouring-matter added to marking-leads to increase the light-opacity of the marks made thereby according to the parent Specification is replaced or supplemented by a material which absorbs ultraviolet light. Non- colouring materials such as the butyl or ethyl ether of oxyquinoline, naphthol sulphonic acid derivatives, triazoles, quinine sulphate, phenanthrene, methyl umbelliferone, or certain dyes may be employed. The leads may be dipped in a solution of the substance in a volatile organic solvent such as benzine, benzene, alcohol, or the like, and then in the fatty material also containing the substance, or the leads may be immersed in a molten bath of the substance.
