Abstract

Viscose fibres having a stable curliness are obtained by spinning a viscose according to the process described in the parent Specification, i.e. of salt point 0,1--0,2 or lower, and subjecting the fibres to vibrations and slight stretchings towards the end of, or shortly after coagulation. The vibrations may be produced by using a spinning funnel whose exit is narrowed so that the parallel flow of the precipitating solution is changed to turbulent flow or by causing the fibres to enter water in which whirls are caused by the precipitating liquid entering with the fibres. In the latter case a small quantity of acid or salt or both may be added to the water.
