465,236. Fuel - injection pumps. ARCHAOULOFF, V. July 10, 1936, No. 19229. Convention date, July 22, 1935. [Class 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] A fuel-injection pump comprises a plunger 3 operating in a cylinder provided with a suction valve 9 and suction pipe 8, supplied by a feed pump, and also a delivery pipe 10. A number of Belleville washers 15 are adapted to form a bellows 6 which is attached at one end to the plunger 3 and at the other end to the casing 1 and acted upon by the pressure in the engine cylinder through a connection 2. The contacting edges of the washers 15 are ground so that a fluid tight j joint is formed on the inner edges 16 may be soldered. The washers may have undulations as shown in Fig. 3.
