Abstract
463,129. Mounting gems; clips. CARTIER SOC. ANON. June 18, 1935, No. 17528. Void. Convention date, June 19, 1934. [Class 43] [Also in Group XXV] To fix a jewel to a tuft of hair, threads, &c., the setting of the stone 1 carries, on two rods 4, at a distance from the girdle less than or equal to the depth of the pavilion, a horseshoe-shaped jaw 5 of U-section, the groove of which is engaged by a spring-hinged jaw 7. The jaw 7 preferably lies on the same side of the fixed jaw as the stone. The parts 9 form finger-pieces. The hinge may be placed at one end of the horseshoe-shaped jaw and be connected to the setting by a single rod.
