Abstract
461,999. Cathode-ray tubes. SZEGHO, C., ANDERSON, W. P., and BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd. Aug. 29, 1935, No. 24192. [Class 39 (i)] Conductive coatings on the inside and outside of the envelope of a cathode-ray tube are used as a condenser in a smoothing circuit in the high tension supply to the tube. The inner coating may be connected to the anode and the outer earthed, or if the outer is at a high potential the coating may be covered with insulation formed by a layer of guttapercha, vulcanite or shellac. The condenser coatings may be of graphite or of metal deposited by evaporation in a vacuum, silvering, or spraying.
