458,685. Wheel forks; fuel tanks. COUNTY COMMERCIAL CARS, Ltd., and TAPP, E. T. J., Upper Street, Fleet, Hampshire. June 21, 1935, No. 17869. [Classes 79 (iii) and 79 (iv)] [See also Group XXXII] The front steering wheel of a three-wheeled motor vehicle is mounted on the cranked end b of a spindle o carried in a bearing c provided at the lower end of a depending offset steerable arm c<1> located at one side only of the wheel, the upper end of the arm terminating in a pin c<2> rotatably mounted in bearings d, d<1> in a frame cross member f which may be utilized as a fuel tank. The spindle o may be mounted in a compressed rubber bushing m and its rotation may be additionally restrained by a spring k connecting an arm j on the spindle to a bracket l on the steerable arm c<1>. Rubber bushes may be introduced into the end connections of the spring k. Clearances n, n<1> may be provided to allow limited use of the bushing m to absorb side thrusts on the wheel.
