Abstract
455,944. Paper carrier-bags. SIEBENBORN, L., 11B, Lindenthalg³rtel, Cologne, Germany. Oct. 2, 1935, No. 27226. [Classes 94 (ii) and 133] In a paper carrier-bag of substantially rectangular cross section, more particularly for carrying bottles, of the kind furnished with aligned hand slots e in cardboard &c. reinforcements g, and with a closing flap d, h adapted to be passed through the hand slots, the closing flap is formed as an integral portion of the cardboard &c. reinforcement g associated with an upper edge of the bag. A strip f furnished with a dry rubber composition may seal the flap d, h in position. In a modification, Fig. 4, the flap d may be formed integrally with the reinforcement at the upper edge i of a hand hole, the flap being sealed in the closed position by dry adhesive at k. In a still further modification, to the construction of Fig. 4 is added an adhesive flap which folds over the top edges of the bag and to which the flap d is secured. A bottom reinforcement c is also provided.
