[Class 6 (i)] A tractor plough which turns the furrow slices all one way comprises a longitudinal frame or support rotatably mounted on a fixed central longitudinal shaft 5 and carrying oppositely disposed sets of plough bodies 8, the shaft having crossheads 10, 17 carrying pins 11, 18, arranged to engage in slots 12, 13, 19, 20, in crossheads 4, 3 forming part of the rotatable frame to locate the latter with one or other of its sets of plough bodies in operative position, a hand-lever 25, a spindle 22, and chain gearing 33 being provided for rotating the rotatable frame, and the hand-lever having means associated with it for locking the frame in either of its two operative positions or in its inoperative transport position. The rotatable frame comprises longitudinal beams 1, 2 connected together by the crossheads 3, 4. The rear end of the fixed shaft 5 is supported by a bracket 6 carrying an adjustable rear wheel 7. Disc coulters 14 and a haulage shackle 31 are provided. The handle 26 of the hand-lever 25 is slidable axially and provided with a pin 27 which enters holes in a ring 29 to lock the handlever and rotatable frame in position. The front wheels 35 are carried by adjustable crank axles 36 bearing against adjustable stops 42 carried by a pivoted bar 41. The ploughs are raised by the tractive power when toothed segments 44 are brought into engagement with cog wheels 50 fastened to the hubs of the wheels 35. The toothed segments 44 are connected by links &c. to operating levers 47. The parts are locked automatically in the raised position by spring-controlled levers 54 engaging recesses in collars 51 on the crank axles 36. The locking- levers 54 may be raised by means of a handlever 57. The Provisional Specification describes means for adjusting the depth of work by hand-levers and means for raising the ploughs by the tractive power comprising cams engaged by rollers moved by means of cords and rods.
