455,126. Tongs. SCHARER, J., Wattwil, St. Gallen, Switzerland. March 9, 1936, No. 7016. [Class 61 (ii)] A holding - tool for saucepans &c. comprises a pair of lever arms 1, 4, pivoted together at 5, the part 1 being of U-shaped section and formed with a bifurcated end 2 provided with splayed wallengaging portions 3 and the part 4 being formed with a hooked end 7 adapted to be engaged over the rim of the vessel. The lever arms are pressed together to grip the vessel, a resilient action being afforded by the provision of a blade spring 6 and by the parts 3 and 7 being formed of a yielding character.
