Abstract

A gasket of comparatively low resilience for use with a snap-on bottle cap is formed of the composition described in Specification 402,623 modified, e.g. by reduction of the sulphur content or the substitution of talc for clay, to render it less resilient. A satisfactory composition consists of rubber, talc and ceresin wax together with stearic acid, sulphur, zinc oxide, lamp black, an accelerator and an antioxidant. Specification 282,591, [Class 125 (iii)], also is referred to.
