Abstract

Cements, concretes and mortars, of Portland or slag cement are rendered hard and compact by vibration and compression and then subjected to temperatures averaging 100 DEG C. or more, e.g. by heating the moulds in an atmosphere of steam or by passing steam through channels in the concrete. Specifications 366,544 and 431,484 are referred to.
