Abstract

453,077. Boxes serving as toys. MALLGRAF, F., 48, Browvale Drive, Little Neck, Long Island, U.S.A. Aug. 27, 1935, No. 23998. [Class 132 (iii)] [See also Group XVII] A receptacle for merchandise is in the form of a collapsable toy house of heavy paper or cardboard and is usable as a toy or for display purposes or for ornamentation, for example on Christmas trees. In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the panel 32 forming part of the roof has a triangular hole 9 with which engages triangular panels 28 and 29 to form a gable. An extension 18 simulating a chimney may be provided on one of the side walls 17 engageable with notches 18<1> in the roof panels 31 and 32. A tab 11 simulating a chimney may be provided on the roof, the tab being provided with an opening 12 to receive a string or hook for suspending purposes. The roof panel 32 carries a flap 34 insertible between the flap 14 and front wall 20. In the construction shown in Fig. 6, the front, side and rear panels 36, 43, 45 and 47 are hinged together by creases and the house is collapsable by folding in two perpendicular directions.
