Abstract
452,014. Antiseptic containers for used handkerchiefs. MACKIE, W. CAMPBELL-, 50, Harborne Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. Feb. 14, 1935, No. 4733. [Classes 94 (ii) and 133] [See also Group VI] A pocket container for used paper handkerchiefs comprises a compartment having permanently incorporated with one of its walls an absorbent sachet in which is enclosed a glass or celluloid capsule or other casing which is frusturable by hand pressure so as to liberate contained volatile antiseptic when the container is brought into use. A separate compartment for un-used handkerchiefs may be provided. In the form shown in Fig. 2 the container, which is made from a folded paper blank of the shape shown in Fig., 4, comprises compartments, a, c opening at opposite ends of the container and closed by flaps d, e. The side walls of the compartments may be gussetted, as shown, or plain. The larger compartment a for used handkerchiefs encloses a permanently attached sachet f comprising a capsule f<2> enclosed in cellulose wadding. The container may be formed with more than two compartments. According to the Provisional Specification the dividing wall between the two compartments may be arranged obliquely and the container may be made from a blank consisting of two or more strips arranged at right angles to one another.
