Abstract
451,029. Stapling continuous filaments. I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE AKT.-GES., Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Jan. 28, 1935, No. 2761. Convention date, Jan. 26, 1934. Addition to 416,636. [Class 120 (iii)] In stapling continuous filaments by the drawing process described in the parent Specification, the fibres of the torn bundle of filaments are prevented from winding around the rollers or rods of the draft mechanism, by guiding strips which carry the bundle through such mechanism and also increase the braking effect. As shown the torn bundle of fibres C<2> is carried through the rollers 1 of the draft mechanism B between endless belts 2. The bundle is delivered by rollers 4 and scrapers or rotating brushes 5 prevent adhesion of the fibres to the belts as they are delivered from the latter.
