Abstract

450,869. Valves. BOWLER, G. A., 22, Sussex Gardens, Hyde Park, London. Jan. 25, 1935, No. 2579. [Class 135] A float valve for use in apparatus for delivering beer or other liquid comprises a valve member 1 having a cylindrical tubular upper portior formed with a constriction 2 at its lower end at the junction with ar inverted pear- or acorn-shaped lower portion 3 having a conical valve sur face 4. The valve surface 4 coacts with a valve seat 5 in a tubular hous ing 6, preferably of glass, to oper when the housing 6 is full of liquid and to close when the level falls below a certain value. Projections 9 are provided on the surface of the valve member to centralize it and projec tions 7 are provided on the interior of the housing to limit the upward movement of the valve member.
