449,548. Catamenial belts. JOHNSON & JOHNSON (GT. BRITAIN), Ltd., and DOBBS, H. J., Fairlie Road, Slough Trading Estate, Slough, Buckinghamshire. Dec. 28, 1934, No. 37186. [Class 81 (ii)] A device for securing a catamenial appliance to a belt 1 comprises a flat member 3 having in its upper portion slots 4, slightly inclined to the vertical, receiving loops of the belt, and having a portion depending below the belt and furnished with inwardly and downwardly inclined incisions 5 wider at the top than at the bottom and employed for the attachment of tab-ended or loop-ended napkins. Two such appliances 3, 3<1> are employed, at front and rear respectively, and one or both of the slots 4 of the appliance 3<1> may be open at its lower end as at 4<1> and be furnished with an incurved portion 6 forming a hook, permitting detachment of the belt. The devices may be made of cellulosed metal, celluloid, bone, or a plastic such as casein or synthetic resin.
