447,742. Photographic cameras. FRANKE, P., 32c, Wolfenbuttlerstrasse, and HEIDECKE, R., 7, Seesenstrasse, both in Brunswick, Germany. Aug. 23, 1934, No. 24341. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 27, 1935]. [Class 98 (i)] A camera is provided with a detachable and foldable hood comprising a frame with hinged walls mounted above the view finder screen. In one form, Fig. 1, the frame h comprising a front wall p and side walls b, is secured to the camera top by means of grooves i which slide on bars k fixed to the camera, a spring catch securing it in position. A magnifying lens c is hinged inside the front wall which acts also as a cover when the hood is folded. A modification with a taller hood is also described. In a further modification, Fig. 5, one of the side walls of the hood e has a window closed by a hinged shutter r, and a mirror f, hinged at the base of the hood, enables a reflection of the image of the view finder screen to be viewed through the side window. Alternatively, the mirror f may be hinged at the front of the hood and permit viewing from the rear in a horizontal direction.
