Abstract
443,886. Drying threads. SCHEIBLI, J. A., 482A, Avenida Chapultepec, Mexico City, Mexico. June 4, 1934, No. 16615. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 11, 1934]. [Class 34 (i)] [See also Groups IX and XL] In a device for forming threads from silk cocoons, the wet filaments from the cocoons are doubled and twisted by passage up and down tube members 27 enclosed in boxes 28 through which hot air rises to dry the filaments. The boxes are disposed on chambers 99 in which the threads are wound on forms 94 disposed above perforated floors 174 and the wound forms may be stood on one of the floors, the hot air being supplied from pipes 172 below the floors and connected to the fire boxes of the boilers supplying solution to the filaments.
