Abstract

443,481. Grinding or crushing apparatus. ZICKWOLF, H., 24, Schweizerstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Nov. 1, 1935, No. 30143. [Class 59] [See also Group VI] In a machine for disintegrating foods &c. having a bush provided with internal toothed ribs, the bush being inserted in a cylindrical casing and co-operating with a rotary worm, the tapered worm is provided with teeth on a cylindrical portion at the outer end of the worm and also on the worm thread, the teeth engaging between and coacting with the teeth on the ribs of a divided bush. The bush is divided into upper and lower halves i, n which interengage by means of V-shaped projections and slots, the teeth being formed as longitudinal strips separated by corresponding grooves. The rotary member a is helically grooved, the plain end being formed with teeth r<1> and the tops of the helical threads with teeth r<2>, formed by triangular grooves at right angles to the axis and gapped with helical grooves.
