Abstract
443,477. Built-up boards. HUGUES, R., and ETABLISSEMENTS, E. HUGUES, Wisches, Bas-Rhin, France. Aug. 19, 1935, No. 23239. [Class 145 (ii)] The core of a builtup board, panel, or the like is composed of elements each comprising a pair of strips 2<a> overlapped at the centre with a single strip 2<b>, additional spacing pieces 2<c>, 2d being provided at the ends and overlapping portion. The elements are alternately reversed, and are spaced apart so as to provide air channels 5 therebetween. The side pieces 1 extending the whole length of the board are built up from small pieces ; cross members extend across the ends of the board ; the elements engage these cross members but are not glued thereto, being held in their spaced relationship solely by the veneer which is applied to both faces of the core.
