Abstract
443,393. Television. SCOPHONY, Ltd., Thornwood Lodge, Campden Hill, London, and JEFFREE, J. H., Vintilla, Sheath Lane, Oxshott, Surrey. Dec. 28, 1934, No. 37188. [Class 40 (iii)] One component of scanning is obtained from a system comprising a rotating ring of lenses 14, having their optic axes in the plane of the ring, light from a source 10 external to the ring passing through two opposite lenses to the area 11 being scanned. Preferably, the lenses 14 are cylindrical lenses, and a cylindrical lens is placed in the middle of the ring to rotate with it. Stationary cylindrical lens systems 12, and 15 and 16, are positioned as shown, and the other component of scanning may be obtained by a continuously moving film. Specifications 328,286, [Class 40 (iii)], and 438,424 are referred to.
