[Class 44] [See also Group XXXII] In a motor road vehicle body having cooperating bevelled-edge hinged doors 1 and door-jambs 6 such that abnormal pressure on the body prevents jamming of the doors or causes them to open, at least one of the jambs 6 is constructed to collapse under a predetermined pressure and is provided with a pin 7 aligned with the bolt 8 of the associated door lock so that on collapse of the jamb the pin depresses the bolt and unlocks the door. The jamb may be formed as a metallic tube backed by a rigid metallic &c. upright 9.
