441,971. Intaglio printing-machines. WEISS, A., 2823, Avenue 1, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. July 23, 1934, No. 12602/35. Convention date, July 22, 1933. Divided out of 440,748. Drawings to Specification. [Class 100 (ii)] Inking-apparatits.-In a rotary intaglio printing-machine of the kind having a circulating inking system and having wiping means adjacent to and in front of the impression cylinder, the ink is directed on to the printing- cylinder at such a position that it remains in contact with the cylinder during the major portion of the revolution of the cylinder before the excess is removed by the wiping means. The solvent action of the newly applied ink upon the ink remaining upon the cylinder after printing is thus prolonged. The construction of machine described is identical with that described in Specification 440,748. Specifications 440,773 and 440,775 also are referred to.
