Abstract

438,879. Leg-rests; bed-rests. GREENOFF, A., Maradar, Low Moor Road, Bispham, Blackpool. Feb. 26, 1935, No. 7085. [Class 52 (ii)] A folding leg-rest comprises a foot member consisting of uprights 1 connected by rails 2, and a leg receiving member 4 comprising a plywood board connected to the uprights 1 by a U-shaped wire 8 the base 6 of which passes under and is pivotally secured to the board 4. The latter is gapped at 5 to engage the uprights 1 so as to allow a spring catch 10 to contact engage one of the cross rails 2. The upper inturned ends of the wire 8 are sprung into holes 3 on the uprights 1 ; several alternative holes being provided. The device may also be used as a bed-rest.
