Abstract
435,086. Vehicle wheels. BYRNE, E. L. W., 329, High Holborn, London.-(American Tire Guard Co. ; Dime Bank Building, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.) Feb. 15, 1935, No. 4933. [Class 144 (ii)] An emergency tyre or wheel fitted at the side of a pneumatic tyre consists of a disc such as 40 formed with a rib 40a having substantially straight sides and a peripheral bead 41 of triangular section with the extreme edge of the disc seated, at right angles, on the outer wall of the rib. A rubber tread may be fitted on the bead 41. The disc 40 may be seated on the brake-drum or the wheel-rim, or may be formed integrally with the latter.
