[Class 83 (iii)] A milling-machine wherein the cutter f is mounted on a vertically-adjustable slide g has the traversing worktable d mounted on a bed c which is pivoted on trunnions b to the base and may be tilted by means of a jack l operated from a hand wheel so that a fine depth-of-cut feed may be imparted to the work e without disturbing the cutter setting. The extent of the pivotal movement may be registered by a gauge arranged to indicate the depth of cut and the bed is locked in its adjusted position by a handle k.
