Abstract
434,525. Filing papers. BLUMSTEIN, C., 15, Dunstan Road, Golders Green, London. May 10, 1935, No. 13803. [Class 146 (i)] A document file comprises a compresser bar 1, formed of a rectangular strip of sheet metal, celluloid, cardboard or the like folded over to form upper and lower folds 2, 3, each having two pairs of coincident holes 5 and an integral locking means 4 on the upper fold 2 for the ends of a flexible strip 6, which is passed through the documents and the holes 5. The locking means 4 may comprise a series of apertures as shown and through which the strips 5 are passed, tongues struck out from the ends, sides, or body of the fold 2, or bent over extensions of the fold 2 beneath which the strips may be engaged. The bar 1 acts as a gauge for the perforation of the documents by a pointed implement, and either of the folds 2 or 3 may be made narrower than the other and assist in the introduction of the documents between them.
