Abstract
<PICT:0433979/III/1> A gas analysis apparatus comprises a chamber containing a solid reagent adapted to remove a component from the gas, internally actuated means for passing a given volume of gas through the chamber, and a vacuum gauge for measuring the reduction in pressure. In the form shown in the Figure, a measuring chamber 2 is connected at both ends by passages 4<1>, 5<1> in a cock 6 to the absorption chamber 3, and a spherical body 10 moving freely within the chamber 2 is moved to and fro by tilting the latter thus driving the gas through the absorbent. The cock 6 also has a passage 11 communicating with the vacuum gauge in the testing position and a passage 7<1> communicating with the source of gas in the filling position, in which passage 4 is open to the atmosphere.
