Abstract
432,783. Television. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A GAZ, 12, Place des Etats-Unis, Montrouge, Seine, France. Jan. 24, 1935, Nos. 2436 and 2437. Convention dates, Jan. 25, 1934 and April 10, 1934. [Class 40 (iii)] The line - synchronizing signal is suppressed at the transmitter at least once per image and at the receiver the grid-controlled gas - discharge tube 17 discharging at the image frequency is controlled by the action of this suppression on the tube 4 discharging at the line-scanning frequency. Owing to the suppression of the synchronizing signal the condenser 8 is charged to an abnormally large voltage and its discharge produces an impulse in an inductively coupled winding 22 which is sufficiently strong to overcome a grid-bias 23 and cause the tube 17 to discharge. Alternatively, the plate 6 is coupled to the grid 19 of the tube 17 through a condenser, Fig. 2 (not shown). Specification 423,098 is referred to.
