Abstract

431,721. Boxes. MILLAR, C. J., 46, Airthrey Avenue, Jordanhill, Glasgow. Feb. 15, 1934, No. 4996. [Class 18] The side walls of the drawer 2 of a drawer - and - shell cigarette box are cut away at the upper edge 3 from end to end, and the drawer is completely covered when pushed back into the shell. The drawer may be formed in two sections 2a, 2b, hinged together so that when it is removed it can stand upright on a table. Alternatively, flaps may be provided upon the bottom of the drawer to allow it to be stood upright. Interengaging grooves 7, 8 may be provided on the drawer and shell 1, and a spring 5 may be arranged within the shell to urge the drawer outwardly when a detent 6 has been released.
