431,620. Motor vehicle frames. VAUXHALL MOTORS, Ltd., Kimpton Road, Luton, Bedfordshire. Nov. 14, 1934, No. 32756. Convention date, Nov. 15, 1933. [Class 79 (iv)] Bracing members 4 of a motor-vehicle chassis frame are connected by a transverse tubular or part-tubular member 1 provided with integral or attached flanges 2 secured to the members 4, by welding or riveting. The axis of the transverse member may be below the centre line of the bracing members, the lower portions 6 of the flanges 2 being, in this case, bent under the bracing members. In Fig. 4 (not shown) the member 1 is of arc-shaped cross-section.
