Abstract
An adhesive for preparing the adhesive transparent or translucent sheets or films described in the parent Specification contains a mixture of vinyl resin, such as a polymerization product of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate and a phenol aldehyde resin. The resins are dissolved in solvents such as ethylene glycol or diacetone alcohol and may be mixed with nitrocellulose solution and a plasticizer such as dibutyl phthalate. The coated surface is adhesive by application of heat or of a solvent such as gasoline, benzol, carbon tetrachloride, ethylene dichloride &c. Specification 427,653 is referred to.
