Abstract

431,247. Jug &c. covers. BULPITT & SONS, Ltd., and BULPITT, W. H., Camden Street, Birmingham. Nov. 9, 1934, No. 32209. [Class 66] [See also Group II] A separate pivoted counter-balanced cover 5 is provided for the spout or lip 2 of a vessel such as a jug, the mouth of the vessel being provided with a hinged or removable cover 15. The sheet metal spout - cover shown carries a pivot pin 12 engaging in holes provided in the sides of the spout, the central part of the cover being formed with an opening 9 to permit the passage of liquid, at the sides of which opening the metal is slit to form loops to hold the pivot pin. The invention is stated to be applicable also to the lips of metal-pouring ladles.
