Abstract
431,020. Differential gearing. WEIDMANN, G., 7, Einfangstrasse, Wallisellen, Zurich, Switzerland. Nov. 6, 1934, No. 31897. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1933. [Class 80 (ii)] Cam faced discs 14, 15, Fig. 1, are driven differentially through floating dog transmitting- elements 12 carried by a driving disc 7 between the discs 14, 15. The dog elements 12, one only of which is shown in Fig. 6, slide axially of the gearing in openings 11 passing through the driving- disc 7. Cam swells 22, 23 on the driven discs 14, 15 differ in number as shown in the development, Fig. 7. One at least of the dog elements 12 is always in a position relatively to the cam swells to pick up the drive. The dog elements 12 may be formed with conical or prismatic engaging ends, or may be formed simply as balls.
