Abstract
430,501. Ring spinning, drawing, and like machines. HIRD, R., Greenholme Cottages, and FISON & CO., Ltd., W., Greenholme Mills, both in Burley-in-Wharfdale, Yorkshire. July 2, 1934, No. 18682/33. [Class 120 (ii)] The eye boards or guides of ring spinning, drawing, and like machines of the kind in which the thread guide member is automatically adjusted in accordance with the position of winding are hinged to a rail 4 slidably mounted in brackets 6, are reciprocated and progressively raised by means coacting directly with the ring rail, and are supported in the lowest position by the engagement of an adjustable stop 7 with an arm 6<a> of the bracket 6. Feet 8<a> on brackets 8 depending from the rail 4 and bifurcated to span the separators 10 are adapted to be engaged by the ring rail, so that the lower portion of the bobbin may be spun with the guides in any position determined by the stop 7, and the upper portion with the guides reciprocating and progressing with the ring rail.
