Abstract
429,086. Wrapping-machines. SAPAL SOC. ANON. DES PLIEUSES AUTOMATIQUES, 54, Avenue Dapples, Lausanne, Switzerland. Oct. 29, 1934, No. 31022. Convention date, Nov. 1, 1933. [Class 94 (i)] In wrapping-machines comprising brushes through which an article and a wrapper are pushed to effect the preliminary wrapping, the brushes are mounted on a carrier 1, Fig. 2, adapted to be adjustably mounted in the machine by means of sockets 2 and set screws. Offset parallel slots 3 are provided by means of which intermediary members carrying arms 6 transversely slidable therein may be adjustably secured. The arms 6 carry the brushes, which are each in two parts 8, 9, and are fixed by means of bolts and nuts 7. As shown in Fig. 2, rectilinear brushes 9 and angular brushes 8 form a substantially rectangular opening 10. The ends of the brushes are forked so that they may be adjusted as in Fig. 3 to form a diamondshaped opening 10. In another arrangement, the brushes 9 may be dispensed with, and the brushes 8 set to form a small square opening.
