Abstract

428,563. Supply and delivery arrangements for hot - water boilers. LOW & SONS, Ltd., A., and LOW, D. W., Merkland Works, Partick, Glasgow. April 17, 1934, No. 11510. [Class 64 (i)] In a water tank having an electric heating unit 2, a supply pipe 3, and a delivery pipe 4 provided with a siphon hood 6, the pipe 4 and hood 6 are formed as separate units and the hood 6 is carried by a lid 8 removably mounted in the tank. By removing the lid 8 together with the hood 6 access to the interior of pipe 4 can be obtained for cleaning purposes. The rod 7 supporting the hood 6 is adjustable axially in the lid 8 and is hollow and provided with apertures 10 and 11 to serve as a vent for the tank. The interior of the supply pipe 3 can be cleaned on removal of a stopper 13 in a T-piece 12.
