[Class 94 (i)] The ends of metal strappings on cases, bales, &c., are secured by ridging the overlapping ends 1, 2, longitudinally and bending down tongues 4, 6, Figs. 1, 2 on each side of the ridge or 9, 11, Figs. 3, 4, at the edges into the space below the ridge. Alternatively two ridges are formed, and tongues are bent upwardly into the groove between them.
