[Class 61 (ii)] A locating or spotting device for marking- out work according to the parent Specification comprising a centre punch and microscope mounted side by side and together forming a single unit enabling the working position of the punch to be observed is modified by providing a reflecting prism 14 mounted in a sleeve 12 slidable in front of the objective 5 of the microscope and comprising two spaced reflecting faces 16, 17 intersecting respectively the axis of the punch 2, and the optical axis of the microscope when the prism 14 is in the position shown.
