Abstract
424,035. Thermionic valves. JENSEN, C. A. S., 56, Hyldegaardsvej, Charlottenlund, Copenhagen. March 26, 1934, No. 9476. Convention date, March 28, 1933. [Class 39 (i)] A valve comprises a cathode and an apertured electrode, having between them an intermediate electrode provided with one or more flat or slightly curved thin plates situated in the general direction of the lines of force between the cathode and the apertured electrode and in such fashion that the electron stream is largely directed through the openings of the apertured electrode. The valve may have a magnetic control, for instance as shown in Specification 419,137. In one form, the intermediate electrode consists of radial plates f arranged between the cathode c and the apertured electrode d. The plates may be used in a valve having two apertured electrodes and may be curved and disposed at each side of the cathode where a plane apertured electrode and anode are used. The plates may be subdivided and connected together at different points along their length, or may consist of wire netting.
