Abstract
422,510. Draught, dust, and weather excluders for doors and windows. WOOD, N., 4, Butts Road, Market Drayton, and LOCKETT, D. P., Hill Farm, Moreton Wood, Calverhall, near Whitchurch, both in Shropshire. Jan. 9, 1934, No. 733. [Class 20 (iii)] The rabbeted edges of doors and casement windows are provided with resilient L-shaped metal strips c lying flush with the face and edge of the door &c., and engaging in the closed position with resilient channel-shaped metal strips e secured to the frame. At the hinged edge, a recess in the door or sash engages a strip h secured by its flanges to the frame, and at the sill of a door a projecting plate on the sill engages an L-shaped strip in a rabbet on the door. The attachment flange of the strip c is preferably sunk in a groove at the apex of the rabbet.
