421,267. Pipe joints. AVERY, W. L., The Blue House, Thorley, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. March 14, 1933, No. 7756. [Class 99 (i)] A pipe 3 seats on a washer in a socket of the pipe 1, and a collar 9 is screwed on to it. Screws 8 passing through holes in a loose collar 6 are screwed into the collar 9 until thumb-tight, and the collars are then rotated, the collar 5 pressing against the shoulder 4 of the socket to draw the pipes together.
