Abstract
420,830. Valve generating circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, London, and PARKIN, T. D., The Haven, Mill Lane, Broomfield, near Chelmsford, Essex. June 8, 1933, No. 16486. [Class 40 (v)] A valve generator 1 having a tuned circuit LC in its anode-cathode circuit, a piezo-electric crystal X4, of resonant frequency substantially different from that of the circuit LC, in its anode-grid circuit, and a resistance R1 in its grid-cathode circuit, has its effective gridcathode capacity reduced by a condenser C3 connected between the grid and cathode. This increases the amplitude of the oscillations produced across the tuned circuit LC and is particularly useful when the crystal X4 is one of a plurality capable of being inserted in the anode-grid circuit. The selecting switch S short-circuits the unused crystals with a condenser CD.
