[Class 89 (i)] [See also Group X] Means for securing roofing sheets or tiles A, B to metal or timber supports N comprises a steel or other hard metal washer E, which has a centrally - disposed conical or other portion G adapted to fit under the splay head of a screw or bolt M and to extend down to, but not to enter, the sheet or tile, and the space over the head of the screw or bolt m the recess G is provided with a mastic filling H. The space between the underside of the recessed portion G and the body of the washer is also filled with mastic J. For corrugated sheets or tiles, the washer E is curved and provided with straightened or turned-up edges F. When the securing means include a bolt M, the latter is locked to the support N by a bent clip P.
